WHAT TO EXPECT

Here are some things you should expect when you come to a clinic at TPA:

Weather

The weather in this area is ever-changing, so it is a good idea to be prepared by dressing in layers. When it is wet, we ride in the arena, which is generally at least 10 degrees colder than the air outside. Bring a chair, and if it's cold, perhaps a blanket or a portable mini propane heater if you have one. If it's warm, bring shades, sunscreen, and a “sunbrella”. When the weather is good, we like to ride in the upper pastures.

Parking

Please try to park so there is room for everyone who might be coming to a clinic or event, mindful that horses will be tied to the trailers to be tacked up. If possible, try to haul in with someone else.

Stabling

We have several paddocks available in which to keep your horse for $10.00 per day. They will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. We have water buckets in each paddock, but please bring your own hay and grain.

Outside Dogs

We have dogs, cats and chickens and we do not allow any outside dogs on the premises.

Videotaping

Video-taping is not allowed at clinics. For all other events, please check with the instructor before assuming it is permissable to video-tape.

Lodging and meals

There are many nearby amenities to choose from in the Olympia area. You may camp at our place (with prior permission), or stay at a motel or hotel. Bring your own lunch to the clinic, or visit one of the local delis, grocery stores or restaurants.
