The first summer camp of 2009 started with the "Which Haflinger is this?" game. All 8 horses stood perfectly for this photo.

Sunny rode Tuffy in the first lesson.

And Emily rode Fred.

In the afternoon Jade rode Stanley bareback. The kids practiced balance and control.

Ada did a great job on Alsace.

And Emily had a wonderful time on Fred.

Isobelle rode Hairy in a hackamore that afternoon and had a grand ride on the youngster.

After the lesson, the kids played tag. Kelsi Mayther, Tessa Curl, Lyn Steinbrecher and Jordyn Hanchett joined in the fun on their ponies.

At lunch, Giffie Two joins Zoe and Kelsi for lunch. She had been at the farm for less than two weeks at this time and had adapted right into every day life.

During another afternoon we went out to play on the cross country course. Here, Emily rides Scim off to find one of 4 colored cloths that the older girls have hidden.

Geri cheered all the wild riders on.

Isobelle had a hard time finding the 4 black cloths so she asked Jordyn (on Elegance) for some hints.

Tuffy helped Jade work on her cantering that day. Jade had an enormous smile on her face afterwards.

Of course, there is always the tack cleaning sessions afterwards. Lyn had given a lecture on the many items that could be used to clean leather. The students put all that information to good use.

One day we played the ever fun game of Musical Navahoes. The kids got really into the games and the horses were enjoying it almost as much as their riders.

The work done out on the cross country course was so much fun that we spent a great amount of time out there. Sunny came out to join us on foot after her neck started giving her trouble. We missed her riding with us.

Callie really enjoyed bringing her wonderful horse Cowboy with her.

Isobelle is always putting to use whatever she learns in a lesson. Here she opens a gate off of Stanley's back.

Friday afternoon we played games in the new TPA arena. Emily and Jade were Toilet Paper team members at first.

Emily went on to be Lyn's partner for a while.

Tessa and Ada formed the Haflinger team.
